A stormy adolescence led me to attend both a classical high school and an art institute, with all the positive notes that this may have entailed. After high school, I graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan, with a thesis on urban exploration, as the art of going where you are not supposed to go.

Subsequently, during an endless period of internships in various architectural studios, I was able to happily experience to the full what it means to explore abandoned places: the profound value of the traces of the past, the exclusivity of experiencing the surrounding architecture in silence and solitude, the extraordinary suggestions created by natural light that tries to infiltrate every possible opening, led me to try to freeze all these elements and sensations through photography.

Afterwards, by pure chance, I started working in the field of lighting, in which I found myself extraordinarily at ease, despite not having explored the topic in a scientific mode during my studies. During my working experience I managed to develop the necessary technical knowledge, while maintaining an approach aimed at a more poetic and introspective vision of the use of light.

I then became a mother of three children, which led me to be more present in my territory as a volunteer in the Fuoriclasse association: I never miss an opportunity to propose something that stimulates the knowledge of light in a playful and curious way.

Today I am a freelance lighting designer, because I believe in the value of freedom to manage my own time and competences. However, I love collaboration and exchanging experiences with other professionals, whether they are in the same sector or not, while still maintaining a component of individuality.
